I squeezed some time in today to replace the existing motor mounts on my chassis with unmolested ones. I found as I was trying to put the bolts through the holes on the newer mounts, that a couple of the holes had what looked like a teeny spot weld on the edge of them (not all, just 2 or 3).
I'm wondering if this is normal for the era, to keep the bolts from spinning in the frame? Or were these maybe just not drilled through enough? Gotta love working with 50 year old parts!
Regards,
Jim
