Does anyone have a photo of the naked dash that shows the correct linkage connections (both ends) to the wiper motor, wiper arm connect, and the correct "park" location of the wiper motor.

Anyone have the correct installation (photo) of the door, door jam, deck and deck quarter wedges for LH. and RH.

Thanks in advance,

Joe

Damn...and I just buttoned up my dash after replacing the harness...I may have a picture, though...see when I get home tonight

Sorry....I don't have a straight-in shot...let's see what VNV comes up with

Joe, here's a photo that should take care of your wiper linkage question - park position is with the motor arm horizontal toward the passenger side, the passenger side arm points down, and the driver's side arm points up. Don't forget the little spacer washer between the links where they connect to the motor arm pin, or the arms will interfere with each other once every revolution (clack...clack...clack) :)

Thanks John Z, you always come through and I really appreciate your quick response. I did purchace a new washer/spacer from CC, but could not get it
to fit between the arms. The spacer measures .120 thick, ID.750 and OD 1.07 and is made of rubber. Is this right??

Also, any comment on the second part of my question?

Thanks again,

Joe

Yup, that's the correct spacer, and it should fit with no problem, with the groove in the drive pin showing rearward of the second link rod to accept the spring retaining clip; the clip doesn't push straight on the end of the pin - it's installed straight down from the top until the tang in the center of the clip seats over the end of the pin.

The only logic I use on the wedges is that the "fat" edge goes inboard on the lock pillar and outboard on the door, and the "fat" edge is toward the top on the deck lid and toward the bottom on the body.

Seems like I've heard that it almost takes three hands to install the clip, two to hold and compress the linkages and washer, and the third to install the clip.

:)

Thanks John Z,
I was in the U.P. this weekend for some R&R.
Well I tried to install the spacer today and I still don't get it, sorry, maybe its "old age syndrom". The spacer ID is .750 and the pin OD is .375, I see there is a bronze bushing in each link, is the spacer supposed to be over the bronze bushing? Could they be installed incorrectly? Which way should they be? The FAM shows the drivers side link, spacer, passenger link, clip. It does not show the bushings, HELP???

In regard to the wedge, I didn't ask the right question.
I understand the wedge for the inboard and outboard. My question has to do with 'top and bottom" for the lock pillar and "front and rear" of the deck lid. I have seen pictures that show the plastic wedge with the radius of the wedge on top and the the flat part on the bottom, and other pictures in reverse. And I have no clue how it should be installed on the deck?

Thanks again.

Joe

The assembly manual doesn't show the bushings because they were pressed into the end of the link rods by the supplier and came to St. Louis as part of the link rod assembly. The parts as you have described should assemble correctly.

I don't recall the end-to-end directionality of the individual wedges.
