Hi, a fellow member advised that the top might not fit 84-87 without hardware changes. This top is off a 1996. If interested, please make sure it will work with your vehicle

C4 Targa Top - Tint Plexiglass

Sorry Buddy - The Targa Top will indeed fit the C4 but the hardware for fitment to the windshield frame is different from '84 - '86 and changes
from '87 - '96. I would caution a buyer to be certain of the year Vette he/she is intending to put the top on.
Otherwise, the purchaser must buy the proper harware for the correct year fit.
Just thought I'd clue you in. I went through this a few years ago with my 1987 Cpe.

There were 3 designs for C4 Tops!
1st Design:1984-1986 1/2
2nd Design: 1986 1/2-1988
3rd Design:1988-1996
Left to Right front mounting brackets in photo!
1st Design,2nd Design,3rd Design
The top mounting hardware won't interchange between tops!
