anyone ever used or currently using an item call sound killer ? It is supposed to buffer the noise between trunk area and passenger compartment as well as hiding the storage area.
There are a number of products that can be used to insulate and reduce sounds from the hatch - or cabin, if you line it too. Most are closed cell foam, and some are foil faced. Actually most work pretty good. Accoustimat or some similar name is the product I hear most about.
You might want to check out a product called "Reflectix". I buy it at Home Depot in the insulation department. It's aluminum foil, bubble pack, aluminum foil sandwich and works dandy for heat insulation under carpeting.
I can't help but think it would work well to help with sound deadening as well.
