Had a air system code on my 2000 vette. Carried to dealer today, Seem my Battery is leaking on the wiring harness eating up the wires and causing my air pump to not work. Will install new harness tomorrow and I guess a new Delco non-leaking unit? But for how long I wonder?
Seems to me that this battery problem should have been fixed years ago. I have heard of this problem for years. Why has GM not installed one of the new Gel filled batterys to fix this???

Sorry about your issues.
Actually, GM has had the 75P-7yr, which is a absorbent glass mat technology, which is similar to your gel cell.
This was introduced in the 01 model year, with ZO6.

Yea, I just wanted to update you on a recent poast. I just read a old post about the battery. I guess that when I pick up my Vette tomorrow that they will replace it with a new style battery?
