C5 6sp Transmission woes....................

The good news is my transmission is back together and works flawlessly!:thumb
Put the car up on the rack and aligned it this morning and it runs and drives like new!:thumb:thumb

The bad news is ,Some A$$hole hit it in the parking lot and did $1700.00 in damage and left the scene!:hb:hb:hb

No cameras in the school parking lot?

Damn, that's a shame Junk.

Yeah Mac,It seems so.
I could have done this work at home,But I was ask to do it at the school and I wanted to help young technicians learn.
Between this, dead beat customers and incompetent parts people,It's just almost to the point that I don't give a Rats Pa-toot if everybody has to ride a bicycle!~!!:eyerole:eyerole:eyerole

Are the school going to come good for the repairs or are you stuck with that as well?

The kid that hit it finely fessed up today after several hours of interrogation and the cop found flakes of Spiral Grey paint under his bumper impact strip and lower body molding!:thumb

Young and dumb, got scared and run? All he did was make matters worse for himself. Good news to hear the cops got him!!

-Mac

Jesse, that sucks the big one, but glad the kid finally fessed up.

I was hoping this happened!

The cop did some good work.

Will there be a monetary distribution on the part of the kid to you, junkie?

Or are you just going to take over ownership of the kid's car?

Wave Saving temporarily on hold!

It's my understanding the young fellow claims he was water boarded into confessing .:eyerole

Good. Nice to hear water that boarding does work. :)

Yes the little a$$hole did!~!!
So I talked to the investigating officer today and he is going to go ahead and send the paint evidence to the lab and then pursue felony hit and run charges. Now I don't care if he has to walk till he's 21 and then pay high insurance rates for years!

Waterboarded into confessing? If that wasn't so stupid, it would be hilarious!

One caution... the physical evidence (paint, impact marks, etc) can provide a match to the offending car but it doesn't put the driver behind the wheel. That requires either a witness or an admission on the part of the driver. Hopefully, the confession was recorded so his torture allegations blow up in his face.

Mac, I don't know about Canada, but in Massachusetts it doesn't matter who is driving. If it can't be proven who is driving, then the
OWNER is held liable for the damages. Same thing goes for tickets. If they get a picture of the tags going thru a toll plaza without
paying, the OWNER gets the ticket whether he/she is driving or not. If the car is a rental, the rental company gets the ticket and
will bill you for it.

Here in Canada, it would depend how the police decided to proceed. If they're dealing with it using provincial law, the registered owner can be charged unless they provide evidence identifying the driver. If the police are trying to get criminal charges, even misdemeanor charges, they have to prove who was the driver. Things like toll jumping go to the RO as that's typically provincial law.

Bumper looks great!

Cannot say the same for the color match! :rotfl

WAVE SAVIN' on the DL.

Junk hit the road about 20 minutes ago, he said at least people could see his back bumper now.

Just trying to figure out what 6Shooter is using for a bumper. :W

Maybe his yellow Vette will be faster with the weight savings of no rear bumper. :duh

On your way back home, junkie, please be sure to SAVE the WAVE! :w
