I believe at one time I just glanced at a thread about the leather seats in the C5, but don't recall any specifics about it. This is my problem. The driver side has "unthreaded" and has about an inch and a half split. Can't imagine that my butt is big enough to rub it to that extent. In any case would anyone know if something like this would be covered by warranty ( 2year old coupe) or about how much it would cost to have "rethreaded." Thanks.

If it is only two years old it I think it will definitely be covered by warranty unless they can prove you have abused it!

Hi Nick -

Any good upholstery shop should be able to fix the seat cover - should not cost that much (less than $50 IMO).

Sounds like the dreaded "mad-seat" disease - my Z06 is exhibiting some of what you describe.

Kinda sucks, but I guess it's easy enough to fix....

best regards -

The drivers side (back only) was replaced under warrenty and with no hassles.

Thanks guy's. Took it by the dealer and they confirmed it was covered under the warranty.
