Help! c5 will only start after disconnecting the battery then re-connecting it

I changed the ing.switch. now I have to disconnect the battery then re- connect it to start the car

Let us know what codes are showing up.Turn key to ON positionPress and Hold Options ButtonWithin 10 Seconds press the Fuel Button 4 timesThe DIC will step through any codes and then go into manual mode. TheDIC buttons can then be used to page through the codes.Press E/M button to exit

What in the world is the 'ing.switch'? :confused

EDIT: Okay, I guess that means ignition switch. The quickest and easiest thing to do is to do the job again. You obviously did something wrong, hooked something up wrong or went too fast. You need to post your codes before disconnecting the battery.
