Hello everyone. I have a 2007 Z51 6 speed with 25,000 miles. I have what appears to be a leak where the transmission meets the rear differential gearbox. Actually, there's a sensor that is plugged into the transmission very close to where the red sticker says Use Dexron III ATF only. It has two wires coming out of it and there's fluid residue all around this area and the fitting. Also it can be found in abundance at the bottom of where the transmission and gearbox meet. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it would be tough for the fluid to travel upward to this sensor location, and go with the gravity explanation for why I have it a the bottom of the junction between the two parts....I guess its possible the gasket could be leaking along with this sensor.???? I'm only seeing a few drops per week on the garage floor, but I'm concerned that this might lead to a more serious problem if not resolved. I would like to hold off until summer end since I only drive the vehicle on the weekend. Especially if this will require a new gasket....might have to drop the rear end out....Please chime in....how quickly should I react in getting this back to the dealership? :W
