C6 Oil filter Question

I'm getting ready to change oil in my C6. My owners manual says Delco PF44 but the AC Delco website says PF46. Which is it and has anyone used a different brand other than AC Delco? What brand is the best for my baby? I am kinda partial to Fram but they dont list a double guard yet for the LS2. Any advice would be helpful, Thanks

AC Delco replaced the PF-44 with the PF-46 more than a year ago. I would have thought that the C6 owner's manual would have caught up to that change by now.
The PF-46 is the filter for the C5's LS1 and LS6 also and their owners manuals still list the PF-44.
I understand that the UPF-44 is still available however.

I use AC Delco filters for all my cars and keep a few spare PF-46's around all the time.

My C6 came with a 44 on it from the factory. GM must have a boatload of those things lying around. Car was built early this year

I would consider Mobil 1 or K&N oil filters. I have seen a few articles that don't give high marks to FRAM oil filters. They cost about twice to three times as much but as the old commercial goes "You Can Pay Me Now Or Pay Me Later".
