"Glad you're happy with your investment. I've been driving my C4 for more than 16 years. The C4 will be a classic and you will enjoy it very much. BUT, this C6 forum is to discuss the newest evolution of a great machine - Corvette. There is no competion between vette gens just commoraderie. Enjoy your car, and let us know if you run accross any juicy pics of the C6. "
Right on, LongTimer.
I have to say, almost 100% of the C6 bashing is coming from C5 or C4 owners. I can understand a newer product can make you feel a bit self-conscious about your car. You want to know you made the right purchase, and seeing superior technology roll off the line can cause some negative emotions---that's just human nature. We all put some bias, and deservedly so, into our own cars after we drop 30-50 grand in them. You don't want to feel like you would have been better off waiting a year or two. But cars are going to get old, and there is nothing you can do about it. Before we know it, the C6 will be out of date! So the lesson is, be proud of your car, and understand that it will definitely be a classic someday, and will ALWAYS turn heads. Each has its place in history. I can honestly say I enjoy and respect every year of Corvette.
Anyway, I get the impression that people are being a bit unjust with the C6 so far---jealousy? Immaturity? I don't know, not my place to make the judgement. But the bottom line is there is too much bad energy flowing here. If you don't like something you see, give a reason why and spark some convesation. Negative single sentences don't do anything positive for anyone.
