What kind of wheels would you like to see offered on the C6?

Do you think that 5-spokes are passe', or do you think they still have a place on high performance sports cars?

What about more subtle wheel designs such as the '91'96 saw blade design? Too plain, or just right?

I would like to see an 18 or 19" mesh style come back...

My personal taste is still for 5-spoke wheels. This particular design is my favorite:

I like 5 spoke as well, and I think most all of the newer vettes look better with chrome rims rather than a satin finish. And I also gravitate towards the narrower spokes rather than the large ones as debuted on the earlier C5's.

This is still a personal favorite of mine. I think it would look good on almost any sports car.

I also like most of the rims that BBS produces. Or, narrowing it down even farther, I've always liked the rivet/bolt pattern (whatever) around the rim, as shown in mine and Rob's pic.

5 spoke here too....... WOW Evolution1980 Great wheel!!!!! For me though I like the lines of the C5 and a wheel that looks good, but does not take my eye away from the body lines of the car. Still, awesome wheels guys. Can you give the make and sizes of what you have shown here? Thanks.

The one above from me is the SSR GT3. Available at TireRack.
Not available for my vette :cry

How about wheel OPTIONS! The C5 was the first in a while to offer options, but the choices just aren't that good. either very high priced magnesium, or you get the 5 spoke polished or non-polished. I would love to see 3 or more regular priced wheel options to choose from on C6... with each wheel having the option of polished/non-polished. This way GM could offer two different styles of 5 spokes, plus one non 5 spoke alternative.

I agree that chrome looks better than the satin finish but I don't like rims with studs and I like a fatter spoke because I really don't like seeing all the interiors of the brakes and calipers and all that. Don't get me wrong the C5 2000 wheel looks nice but a fatter spoke not like the 97 but a different design would look better to me. I think its Finke that has a nice fat 5 spoke rim that looks good. IMO the wheels on the C4 were garbage and that was Chromed or not it was just flat at ulgy to me.

I just don't see GM offering that many choices. I would be nice.

I have always been a big fan of the old 1960s Torque Thrust classic and Hallibrands as on the GT-40. While I want to move out of the 60s and do not advocate these on the new Corvette, I would like to see a similar "tough" 5-spoke design. I also think it should be made available in flat black. I saw a c5 recently in which the standard wheels had been re-done in flat black. The car was also black, and the whole effect was to give the car a trim aggressiveness it sorely needs. I would go with a simple 5-spoke design in which the "spokes" are wider than the current wheel.

How about C5-R wheels with a single knock-off or one big nut!

Easy to clean and no glitter is what I would LIKE to see. This, with a different finish, is what we probably will see:

I like wheels that are simple, but have depth. those wheels are too flat for my taste. If the spokes were pushed back an inch into the wheel they would look good though

I like the wheels on the JUJUBEE rendition, and they may not be far off!

Personally these are my favorite.

I agree that these are most likely the wheels we will see in satin and optional polished finishes. I prefer the look of a wheel that has the hub deeper, but isn't it better handling geometry to have the hub out near the outer edge of the wheel? Probably helps keep the brakes cooler too?!?

Pity my favorite rims ever, the Bullitt ones for GTs, would never work on a Corvette. Right now I think the Z06 and 1991-1996 wheels are the best. No idea on how I'd want the new ones to look.

You mean the five spoke ZR-1 wheels?

I'm a fan of 5 spoke wheels but I dont really prefer the star shaped spokes, like the ones you posted earlier, Rob;
I like the spokes to be thinner so you can see more of the brakes; I like them angled and symmetrical, not curvy like the BBs ones also posted; and I like it with a two-tone finish to give it some visual appeal.
