CAC @ NCRS Hershey Nat'l

You've all already read of 82-Guy's great job earning the prestigious Bowtie award at the NCRS National Convention in Hershey, PA. Well Guy was one of several CAC members who were at Hershey and a number of them also did quite well. Here is a list of those I know of.

ChuckG - Top Flight - 1969 Convertible :upthumbs

Paul Borowski - 5th Star Bowtie :upthumbs - not sure which car since I don't have a photo of your car Paul.

StLVett - PV (Performance Verification) - 1981 :upthumbs

VetteGuy66 - Top Flight - 1966 427 Convertible :upthumbs

82-Guy - 1982 - Bowtie :upthumbs

Hats off to all! I have photos of the cars and will post them this weekend. If you know of other CAC members who also earned awards this week, please post here so we can all congratulate them. By the way, StLVett was the photographer for the Hershey Convention and should be commended for his hard work - GOOD JOB TIM!!

On a personal note, it was nice to meet more CACers though I did miss connecting with JohnZ. John, I was driving people crazy after the banquet asking if they knew where you were, maybe we'll meet at Windsor:D.

To quote the NCRS National Judging Chairman, "this is the award that brings NCRS Team Leaders to tears."

All of these people should be immensely proud of their cars and of their personal efforts.

Well done all! :BOW

There were two Sunfire Yellow 67 L-71's there, you would've liked them:D.

For any others who I've missed, please email or PM me and I'll get your pic posted here to recognize you as well. I have all of the photos from the convention so long as you drove down by the weeping willows while Tim and I were sweating to the sidepipe tunes:D.

Great news!

Guy, you are going to have to build an addition on your house to keep all the trophies displayed!

I am now back home from Hershey, and am very happy to have won the Duntov award, and to have hit the 99% mark on my car's final judging. Unfortunately, it was a long, sad, trip back home with an empty trailer. In a moment of weakness, I allowed a gentelman to purchase my car and I have regretted it all the way home! It will take a few days to get over the empty slot in the shop, but I will be moving on to the next project after a sutiable period of mourning.
Regards, John McGraw

99% WOW! Congrats John! I feel sad and happy for you at the same time. At least you're going to continue with another car at some point. I tried to get your attention just as you walked out the door from the banquet, but I was being pulled in for a group New England Chapter photo.

Good luck on your search.

YIKES!!!!!

For this very reason, I think when my project is completed I'll transfer the ownership (title) into my wife's name with strict instructions "never" to agree to a sale.

No wait! Maybe that isn't a smart move after all. ;)

Congratulations, John.

Congratulations on all of the hard earned awards everyone. Thanks to Eric and the rest of the staff that worked so hard to make Hershey a success. I wish I could have been there. I already have Windsor on the calander though See you there.

Tom
