callaway dual mass flywheel/clutch

I need to replace my dual mass flywheel & clutch assembly in my '90. Although I don't have a Callaway, I contacted Callawaycars.com briefly last week, and was quoted $775 for a replacement kit. This seems very reasonable vs. the outrageous GM version, and I admit I was surprised.

Apparently these are of Callaways' design. How good are these vs. the GM design? Do they last, with normal street use? Does anyone know who mfrs. these?
I'm modifying my top end (heads, cam, intake), and the engine was pulled for a re-fresh, and prefer to stock with dual-mass. Anything to look out for?

Are you looking for another Dual Mass or a Single Mass??

BTW - it dosen't matter if you have a Callaway or not, many of the parts they sell will work on your Vette, just inquire - you can be assured they were tested to be strong & endure

ONly $775?? What is the difference between the L98 clutch and the LT1/4 clutch kit? Why the extra 235 dollars?

The L98 flywheels were the age-old standard. Only when GM moved to the LT1 with the ZF6 trans did they come up with the dual mass flywheel. That price difference is in the flywheel only because the clutch assembly and pressure plate will bolt to either flywheel.

Unless Callaway has changed vendors in the last few years the clutch kit (minus flywheel) is made by Centerforce. If you look on the Centerforce website you should find the clutch specific to the Callaway. It is supposed to have more gripping power for the high torque application. I know this was posted here before but I can't find it right now.
