My father in law has one that has about 20K on it. It was in Corvette Fever. Title was "Its a Keeper"

Thanks for all of the input.:beer
I might go look at next week.
what comes with the anniversary option?
tom

In my opinion one of the best looking vettes to ever leave Bowling green 2050 were built. One draw back is keeping the wheels clean, a few taps on the brakes and the wheels get covered with brake dust. I believe that these cars will be one of the sought after C4's. All of them were numbered from the factory with a special badge on the console.

The interior is white leather along with the steering wheel, and upper section of the door panels, the seats have the 35th logo embroidered up by the head rest. The carpet and lower half of the door panels are black. These cars came fully loaded, the only option was the 4 plus 3 manual, which is rare since they made very few of those.

58,000 miles if it was kept up, is a very fair price, especially if it is a manual tranny car.

My opinion list of sought after collectable C4's
1) Callaway TT
2) ZR-1
3) 96 LT4
4) 35th Anniversay

thanks for all of the info, I don't think he knows what he has or maybe he just wants to unload.

Just to add to 8388's comments. the 35th was the least produced anniv model ever. the 25th,40th and 50th you can find all day. they made over 6000 of the 25th and 40th. The wheels are a pain to keep clean though. If the car wasnt taken care of to well you will see a yellowing of all the white trim (mouldings wheels etc) I only have a little under 25k on mine and on nice days with the room off the car has the most awesome visual appeal with the white interior. Check the car out and let us know how it goes!!!:beer

So how do you keep it from yellowing?

You park it out in the sun light for a few hours, for real.

I saw a 0 mile plastic bagged window sticker still on the window example, and the entire car was yellowing. Reason, the car never saw sun light, and was always kept indoors.

The 35th are antique white in color, and that antique white had tans and brown tint as the make up of the paint, as opposed to the artic white which used gray. For some reason the sun light tends to bleaches some of the tan away.

Sorry, I thought you were just talking about the 35yr, not the anniv.

The white wheels, white leather interior, and black painted roof bow really make this a unique looking Vette. And as has been pointed out earlier there were only 2050 of these made, so you don't see them every day. I do a few parades in the summer time and it's fun to hear people on the parade route pointing at your car saying "I want that one", even though there are several other Vettes in the line up.

Options included were dual power sport seats, Z52 suspension, and a few others I don't remember off hand.

Good luck

John

so to keep it from yellowing I'd have to keep it in the garage or drive it at dust?
I actually want to drive it but keep it from yellowing is that possible? do you know anyone that has painted it artic white to prevent it from yellowing?
tom

I think I'll pass on the anniversary, if anyone is interested let me know and I'll shoot you the phone # It was advertised as an 88 vette but when I looked at the pic it is an anniversary vette. The reason is, it is a specialized vette and parts are going to be H*ll like the white seat white steering wheel yea they are out there ,but probably cost more than say a black seat...... and I want to drive this vette, so I'm looking at a blue 90 again.
tom

Parts dont cost much more on a 35th. The drivetrain is no different than any other vette. Iwill say that certain emblems you cant find. The seats are not much more. Corvette Central has them for only a 100 bucks more than the normal sport seat leather covers. 695/795 for the pair. Floor mats are actually 15 bucks less. idont have info on the steering wheel for ya though.Just passing the info to ya!!! Im not trying to push the car on you its just that the color combo and limited production truly make the car distinctive. Is the car thats for sale on a website? Im not interested in second one just was curious to look at it. good luck in your hunt for a vette!!

35's are no harder to keep up than any other Vette, parts is parts. as for yellowing, the body side mold will turn over time, it can be painted, replaced. or changed to black. if its cared for it will be OK, If your not found of white cars, I woukd say pass it on. I have seen three lately for about the same price, they are selling at about the same price as other 88s. one day they might be worth more, bu now ZR1s are selling for less than 20 grand, a few at 15
good luck in your search.

Thanks,
I passed it need a little more work than I wanted to put in it.

Here is the poop on the 35th -

The 35th was the first true anniversary model that Chevrolet produced and only 2,050 at that. Out of the 2,050, only 200 of them came with the 4+3 Doug Nash transmission. The option was RPO Z01 35th Special Edition Package. It received white side moldings, white door handles, all-white CORVETTE tail emblem, white wheels, six-way power sports seats in white leather with the 35th anniversary logo embroidered into the headrests. It had the all white-leather steering wheel, a matching console-box lid and console plaque with the number of that car. The doorpanels, seatbelts and armrests were white as well and 35th anniversary floormats completed the package. The badging on the car itself is something unique. It is a triple-ring design for both left and front fenders with the hood and gas tank door sporting the standard badges, but in white. It also had other items tossed in the 35th package that were options on other vettes but part of the Z01 package.

There is a website strictly dedicated to the 35th and also has a database that is trying to get all 2,050 cars registered. The site is: www.35thregistry.com. It deals with everything that has to do with the 35th.

To answer the yellowing white trim issue - you can bring the white back back by using a toothpaste that has a whiting agent in it. It takes time and patience, but does work. I have one more small piece left to do on mine and I am done. Be careful not to get it on the body paint!

You are right that the white wheels can be a pain, but I found the easiest way to keep them looking good is to rinse them after I have driven the car. It takes a few extra minutes with a quick towel dry, but got into the practice of doing it every time. It now is second nature to me and the wheels look great all the time. I have had many comments that people cannot believe they are still the original paint.

I have number #0296 which has 44,150k and is one of the 200 - 4+3 manuals. I have a few under skin mods to boast the hp and have stored all the original equipment for safe keeping. I now use it more for shows and pleasure driving. I want to preserve this great car, so I purchased an 03 Z06 for a daily driver.
Hope this helps and makes it a little clearer. I have added a couple of pics of my pride and joy...
