Looking for suggestions on how to remove the old glue from my seat backs. Im doing the seats in black and the carpet is silver. Any thoughts?

Ace Hardward makes a general purpose glue remover that I have used on parts of my interior and it worked good, its not strong enought to melt the plastic but helps loosen up the old glue.

Therte is a glue remover that I have used on alot of glues call GOOF OFF. Try it ona a small area first. Also , there is a spray glue remover that I bought at O'reilly automotive that is used to remove spray glue.

As it turns out, I ended up trying some Rain-X bug and tar remover pre wash that I had in the shed and it loosened up the glue quite easily. No odd smells or flamable liquids. A little scraping and sanding and the glue is gone. Ive decided not to put the carpet back on even though it is in good condition. Im making a set of map pockets instead. Thanks for all the good advice.
