1992 coupe
Last week, I bought my 1st Vette, a 1992 Coupe, 6 speed stick. The interior is in great shape, both seats and carpeting, with one exception. The carpeting to the left of the clutch pedal is worn, from the driver's foot rubbing against it when depressing the clutch. I'm guessing that's pretty common with sticks. Anyone know if its possible/have any experience with attempting to repair that without replacing the whole carpet? Thanks, Rob

You didn't specify what area needs repairing. My C4 had the same issue as it was the Bose speaker cover that was well-worn from the foot resting against it. You can purchase the covers from Corvette Central. If it is the area under the clutch or on the firewall floor-board, I would suspect that any patching would look just like it, a patch. Also, getting the carpet patch to match in color and texture would be difficult. Don't believe replacing the carpet is too difficult, so I advise you to have it replaced or do it yourself.
