CD player /Delco Bose system

I have a 87 convertible with the factory Delco Bose cassette system.I have contacted several sound system shops about putting in a CD player while keeping the factory Delco Bose speakers in place..I get conflicting stories from all of them.What is the real story?Thanks for any help.

My buddy next door just installed a wireless CD shuttle in his 1969 Ford FastBack. It works off a Low wattage FM Broadcast system.

The CD Shuttle is in the trunk, he tunes his radio to the FM station and picks up the CD tunes.
Nice system, and keeps the stock radio. Comes with a remote as well.

That's the route I would go....

PS.. I think someone on the forum here was looking to sell thier BOSE CD sytem... others have bought on eBay...
