Center Cap Removal Stock 98 Wheels

How in the heck to you remove the center caps on a stock 98 wheel? Is there a special tool or is it a matter of just yanking them straight off.

I was able to remove mine with a hanger with the end bent into a small "L". I have also used a screwdriver. Another tip, if the center caps rattle, you can put a piece of electrical tape on the "splines". That works pretty good.

I put some masking tape ( to prevent damaging the paint) on a slim screwdriver.... no problem!!!!!!!!!
