I have an Edelbrock street performer aluminum intake manifold on my Chevy 327. I put the manifold on about 6 years ago. It's no longer nice and shinny. How do I restore the shine? I've used engine degreaser like Gunk but it doesn't do much in cleaning the aluminum but cleans everything else on the engine block...

Cheers

Kenmo

I took mine off and had it glass bead blasted. About $30 or $40 and a new gasket kit...about a 10 hour job for my car.
It didnt make it like a mirror, but it sure did make it look like new, then simple cleaners will keep it looking good.

Can I reccomend you clean the inside of the motor. The engine flush products work well.
