Okay, I've used WINDEX over and over but I still have the streaks. :( What do you guys use on your windows? Thanks!

I have been using this stuff that I picked up at a glass place - Sprayway Glass Cleaner. Don't know what it costs since he gave it to me. I did buy the same stuff at a Vette show last summer.

Thanks for those names, fellas. I'll check them out.

Stoners Invisible Glass, Thats all you need to know.
;stupid

I read about it here and am truely amazed !!
Windex and such seems to streak all glass, doesn't perform as advertised.

;stupid Yep. Stoners.

...plus use it with a microfiber towel, turning often! That's it!

Sprayway (or it's generic equivalent Pro-Grip) works better in cold weather because of the ethyl alcohol in the product, IMHO.

Both work great with a MF towel.

"Invisible Glass" with crubbled-up newspaper. No streaks at all.

Believe it or not--I use eye glass lense cleaner it works awesome with a microfiber towel.
Sprayway is also very good. I stumbled on the eye glass lense cleaner. I was cleaning my glasses with a wal-mart brand and thought to myself I wonder what this would do on the glass on the Vette--down to the garage I went and WOW I couldn't believe how clean and shiny my glass was!!!!

And the winner is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stoner's Invisable Glass Cleaner and newspaper's period.

But wouldn't the ink of the newpaper bleed off? And why newspaper? What's so good about newpaper?

Newspaper works the best I didn't believe it at first either. It's super low tech but works the best of anything I've tried.
As far as glass cleaner any spray cleaner seems to come out streak free using the newspaper.
No the newsprint does not bleed either.

The newspaper in fact give's the windows a shine from the ink.

Wow! :eek You could have knocked me over with a feather. :)

I used the Stoner's Invisible Glass with crumpled newspaper yesterday. It did the best so far.

I'm thinking my windows may be so tough to clean because of overspray from quick detailer.

Any thoughts about the best spray detailer? I have only tryed Meguiar's thus far.

My Grandmother lived in one of those big old country farmhouses with 12´ ceilings and 8´ windows. Every Saturday morning she had me clean all of the windows with some Ammonia smelling stuff she mixed up and crumpled up newspaper. The windows were streak less.

I never ask why. Like everything else she told me, it worked so I did it. I have never used anything other than old newspaper on a window and never thought about why until I read this thread.

Thanks for some real good memories; life was good in the country back in the ´50s.:D

I have to tell you...after expounding on Invisible Glass used with microfiber towels for ages, I'm now sold on Invisible Glass wiped with crumpled newspaper!!!! This is one of the oldest tricks in the book, but one that we never tried! A week ago we spent a very hot day in the direct sun at a car show in CT, and there was no way I could get the windows streak-free (everyone seemed to have the same problem). We came home and then tried the same cleaner with the newspaper...voila! Streaks gone, gone, gone! We're sold!!!

Thanks everyone!
I could never get my windows perfect until I read this post. I ran out and bought Stoners Invisible Glass. WOW!!! :BOW
It made my windshield disappear. I am sold. Thanks again!
