I have a 92 convertible.
We had the battery replaced. Car started fine. Drove it. No problem. Next day turn ignition. Nothing. Gages, lights work but no power to the motor. Now it's making a clicking sound under the dash. Sounds like a time bomb. Is stops when the key is turned on. Then starts as soon as I turn the key off.

What is your battery voltage, checked with a voltmeter attached to the battery cables, with the key off and with the key on and during crank mode (three different voltage tests)?

Thank you for the advice. Traced it to a bad relay. No more clicking. And it even starts. YEE HAW. Peace

Even easier way is to use a plug-in volt meter; into the cigar/cigarette lighter, now known as accessory outlet.
