Help! clicking sound

Put brand new battery in my 91, and when I hooked the cables up it started clicking, inside lights
blinking on and off.

Until the battery cables are completely tight the lights will flicker and the headlight motors will make a clicking sound as they are driven to the closed position by the headlight control module. That's normal.

^ That's exactly what I was thinking. Totally normal.

FWIW... my '95 Trans Am does the same thing with the headlight motors.

Also be sure the battery has a full charge.
