my stock clutch is toast, so now I need a replacement.I want something that will hold better than a stock clutch. any idea's on brands?

Centerforce Dual Friction.

VERY serious clutch. Had one in an 81 Jeep Scrambler with a hot '80 vette 350. Did some crazy stuff in that screamer and NEVER had a problem with the clutch. The guy that bought it from me a few years ago beat the livin crap out of it and he never trashed the clutch either!

I've used Centerforce II's in five or six cars, and have been very happy with them; easier on the flywheel than the Dual-Friction, but both have low pedal effort, smooth engagement, and great grip.

I'll have to give one try - really liked the brute strength of the DF, but you have a great point about flywheel friendliness now that I'm finished with off-road trucks (for now...).
