Cold Power?

The last time I dyno'd my car couple of club members told me to be sure to warm up my car because the Ls-1 makes the most power when the engine is at operating temperature. Can any one tell me if this is true. I thought heat robed the engine of power. ;stupid

Yes, that is true. An ideal operating temp is at around 180 or so for the LS1. They are not saying that the engine should be hot 220+. You'll get a lot more feedback on this topic shortly. I hope I got you off on the right foot.

oil temp is what you want to be up there as cold oil will take more HP to pump through the engine. 190/195 water temp is OK.
