SO my vette hasnt been running for about a week due to a snow storm, I tried starting it today and it wont...any ideas?

Did it crank? Start with the basics, good battery, connections, etc...
If it does crank, start with the basics, spark at good regular intervals, and strong at that. No critters nest in intake tract-air is good. Fuel-can you hear injectors firing, smell fuel, check fuel pressure, etc...You obviously need compression but unless catastrophic failure just happened should be ok.

What is battery voltage when cranking?
Cold weather puts a bigger drain on battery so if battery marginal......
If battery voltage is down then you won't have enough grunt to crank engine and make electronics work at same time

Very true...

the GM HEI demands so much energy from the battery that a fully charged battery will only run the ignition for maybe 15 minutes, or less when the alt fails.
Once battery drops under 11.5V the engine starts to mis at freeway rpm, and as the voltage drops the mis starts sooner until around 10V where it can barely keep up with fast idle. By the time it drops to 9 volts, its gonna die. Amperage gets traded very quickly when trying to generate 30,000 volts for the spark plugs..

The starter may turn it over, but the remaining amperage must be enough to feed the HEI...otherwise, not hot enough to lite up.

To give the starter and ign system the best chance, be sure the correct wt oil is in the motor in cold temps. The thicker the oil, the harder it is to turn the motor over. True story.

no it cranked twice, its been like 20 degrees at night here, i think the battery died
