Hi wwr -
The market drives how many of what color are produced.
The market does not put a premium on white cars, so they don't make many of them.
In order for the white ones to become more coveted and thus more valuable than say a red one, the market would have to shift - white would have to be become more valued by purchasers than they are today.
I don't ever see C5's as being a more valuable as collectible vehicles than they are as drivers - there are just too many of them out there.
I personally love white, and it would have been a tough decision had GM made a white Z06 in 2002......there are only 250 some-odd 2001 white Z06 cars out there.
My white Z06 would have had to have the mod-red interior.....gorgeous cars.
Just out of curiosity, why do you tally the 04,05 and 06's when counting production of white cars, instead of tallying the total C5 production of white cars?
best regards -
