My 87 Coupe has a small diameter hose that runs from the water pump to the underside of the throtle body. It then exits on the passenger side of the throtle body and runs to the heater.
I assume that its purpose is to heat the air entering the throtle body. Since I live in Puerto Rico and right now the temperature is in the high nineties and the rest of the year is usually in the 80's,
can I disconnect the hoses and plug the water pump outlet for that hose? I really do not use the heater in this weather and cool air is said to be better for the air-fuel mixture. Any of you guys have done this? I will appreciate any suggestions e-mailed to me at: agomezjr@hotmail.com
Thanks a lot. :s
