Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Coolant leak.

Hi Glenn, I have tried about a zillion finance companies and all I get is a big fat no. I have resigned myself to the fact that some people get good breaks in life and some do not. Cest la vie.

yet donald trump offers to buy ed mcmahons house for him... a guy who made millions and probably has no excuse for being in the hole he got into... and listen man dont ever be to proud than to ask the government for help, millions of lowlifes out there take advantage of it everyday... its there in theroy for people who really need it... i wish you luck.. keep your head up

Have you looked into refinancing ? They advertise on TV all the time about the new bill that was passed. Would think there would be something out there.I just can't believe the mortgage company wants to sit on and empty house and get nothing. :mad

Paul, I'd really have to back up here, You should Contact the RIGHT people at the back and your state or federal govenment reps office. ASK the bank, "Do you want me to stay in this house? or do you want it empty?" The bank loses a ton of money if you leave the house. Plus the house is a valuable asset to you and your future finances. I know you have medical problem, but I would fight and or find someone to hold off the bank foreclosure. I negitive impact on your credit record is alone a significant reason to stay in your house. If that IS NOT possible then try to sell it before you have to go to foreclosure. The Federal Government has a enough money to waste on literally everything else, they do have programs to intercede on your behalf. If nothing else they can buy you time to keep searching for a refi package. Keep LOOKING !

Killain, I have done ALL you suggested already. That is why I am about to go foreclosure. I have begged, cajoled, asked, sent dozens of e-mails and letters and all I ever get is a big fat no. I have tried every single step you suggested. No one cares. If I told you all the problems I am having right now (this forum is not the place) you would cry, really. I just have to accept what my situation is and let God be in the driver's seat.

I once worked for a mortgage company. The last thing we wanted to do was foreclose on a homeowner - no one wins then. Not only that but it's no simple thing to foreclose and evict someone. It can take years. GET A LAWYER. It bears repeating GET A LAWYER. My employer once tried for over two years to foreclose on an older couple, we even had to PAY THEM to have them allow a roofer in to FIX THEIR ROOF AT OUR EXPENSE just so the property wouldn't be damaged further. The local sheriff told us in clear terms that he had way more important things to do than evict someone from a house.
NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER LOSE FAITH. GOD WORKS HIS MIRACLES IN HIS OWN WAY AND TIME.

I can't agree more! The bank loses in any event that doesn't include your staying in that house. In California, where there are many many pools in the back of houses, when they forclose on the home owner they have to keep the house locked and protected? BUT more importantly they HAVE to maintain the pool, 1. against standing water(it breeds mosquitos, and 2. If the pool isn't kept full, it will collapse on itself. So the bank is really out on a limb if you don't live in and maintain the house. Ask if you can just pay the interest for a year or so. Then you can regroup and find some reasonable refinancing.

Try contacting your local newspaper, they love doing humane conflict stories. Explain you want to stay in your house. Banks don't like bad PR as much as they dislike to foreclose on a house.

Thanks for the advice fells. I appreciate it. Things are FAR more complicated however. BUT, you have given me renewed hope and for that I am very grateful.

Paul
