Must be the area. Around here (the Great Lakes region, NE Ohio specifically) we are said to have the highest concentration of classic cars in the country. Bringing a new car to a show is just about worthless. Some shows have even gotten to the point where they don't take anything newer than 1972.Showing an older Vette these days at car shows is totally unreal. For some reason judges seem to think that going and buying a brand new Vette and practically bring it straight to a show gives it the right to be best of show. I've even seen sometimes that changing the valve covers do it for them as well. To me, car shows are meant to be for the true classics, not some spotless car right off a showroom floor. Just my opinion.
