Cooling ducts to cool underhood?

but STATICALLY?

Dunno about you guys, but the slow speed and stopped issue is what I am trying to address. Those vents could be heat chimneys, at rest, I suppose, but not terribly appealing to me, visually.

The ram effect may help, but where will the air go? As shown, they likely create a local low pressure area and pull hot air out, probably increasing incoming nose air with a slightly larger pressure gradient.

I think there are two groups here. One set of us is seeking better racing cooling, the problem being well addressed with Corvette racers. The other set, which I belong to, seeks beter cooling under largely city driving conditions. I will cut external fiberglass as a last resort.

i cut an 8" x 1" piece of the rubber seal on both sides the intake and that has helped alot for letting the heat escape. in park car off i put my hand down by the wipers and feel the heat just pouring out of there so i know it helped atleast some.

I'd like a PIC, Mic

Can you photo it and post a picture? Thanks.

Rich,

i might have to get you to come over to take pics for me as my ABS light is still on and i don't really want to drive the car at all till i get this fixed if it's possible if not maybe i can borrow your camera and bring it back to you in an hour.

thanks,
Mic
