Patented technology produces 64% gain in flow without cabin resonance
BEREA, Ohio - (December 21, 2004) – Pleasing Corvette enthusiasts has been both a passion and a principle for CORSA Performance®, and the company’s newest exhaust system, specifically crafted for the 2005 C6, will certainly not disappoint.
“As the Corvette continues to evolve, so too does the design and manufacture of our world standard-setting exhaust systems,” said Jim Browning, Sr., president. “We are the only manufacturer in the industry with a C6 exhaust that provides increased horsepower and torque, without the cabin resonance and drone usually associated with these performance enhancements.”
The high-performance, cat-back Corvette C6 exhaust features CORSA’s patented Reflective Sound Cancellation™ (RSC™) technology, allowing for a full-bodied performance sound at idle and during acceleration, and whisper-quiet cruising at highway speeds. This leading-edge technology creates a “tuned” performance sound without the use of baffles or steel wool packing materials.
And, CORSA’s newest exhaust system boosts the C6’s already impressive performance. Because of the straight-through, nonrestrictive muffler design, the vehicle can produce a 64% gain in exhaust flow when compared to the original equipment system, in addition to increased horsepower and torque.
Hand-built from 2.5-inch 304 stainless steel, the CORSA exhaust system for the Corvette C6 is available in two editions: the RSCTM Touring, which produces a full and robust, yet refined sound; or the RSCTM Sport, engineered for a crisp and clean, slightly more aggressive exotic car sound. Both eliminate interior cabin resonance and are available with a choice of handcrafted 4.0” Pro-Series, or Twin 3.5” Pro-Series tips. Each tip is made from high quality 304L stainless steel and polished to a mirror finish.

Featuring a limited lifetime warranty, the new CORSA Corvette C6 exhaust system is 50-state emissions legal and does not void the new vehicle warranty. The RSCTM Touring system complies with the Calif., Maine and Wash. 95-decibel limit when tested in accordance with SAE test procedure J1169, and is the only Corvette C6 exhaust system to hold the prestigious distinction of being licensed by General Motors. The RSCTM Sport system is for off-road or on-track use only in states mandating 95dbA compliance.
No welding or cutting is required for the bolt-on system and complete installation hardware and an illustrated installation guide are included.
