You've put 38 miles on the clock? That's some kind of record you big guy. Time to trade that thing in on a Z06. :D

Buy the way... only girls drive Miata's. Especially turbocharged ones that tick off GTO salemen. ;LOL Inside joke folks!

Unless that Miata is LS6/4L60E powered! Now THAT car will put a big :D on your face!

But seriously....I guess the one big question mark is indeed tires. Do a little research here...tirerack.com has a wealth of info on tire ratings...etc. Find out what items are expected to be replaced regularly (like brakes), and at what intervals, and about what the cost will be to do so. Find out what's not covered by warranty...the extended GMPP warranty is a great idea...but keep in mind that the coverage may be a little different from the original GM warranty. Find out what your insurance, title, registration...etc is going to cost annually.

My '84 is a daily driver whenever weather and mechanical condition permits :L Someday I hope to have a C6 daily driver!

I read all the responses and had to add my comments.

I drive a 2000 convertible everyday in Florida. In 5 years this car has never been back to the dealer except for a steering lock recall.

Before that I drove a 1997 everyday until some fool hit me when I was sitting still at a stop light. They did a great job repairing the car but that was my excuse to get the convertible.

I have a 1973 that I drove everyday for years in the snow, rain and bad roads in Illinois for 6 years years before driving to Florida. Except for brakes and a water pump this car is all original. The engine, trans, rear end, shocks, springs, etc are what came on the car 32 years ago.

Yes you can drive a Corvette everyday and enjoy it at a resonable cost.

Go for it!

Glad to hear several Vette owners drive them daily. I've owned lesser sports cars and driven them daily having great fun along the way. As another poster mentioned I view the Vette, particularly the C5 and C6 as having supercar (Ferrari-like) performance, style and racing heritage at a real world price. Still expensive but more real world than most cars like it. If it's also affordable to keep it on the road and I like the feel of the Z51 or F55 suspension I'm game.

My C6 is 5 months old and has 10,500 miles. I'm paying for a car to drive, and I'm going to drive it. Besides, it's fun.

My C6 is a daily driver. I have no problem treating it as a CAR. (although it is a special car). I love driving it.. it's more fun than not driving it and having it be a garage queen.

Some people don't want to drive their vettes in the rain. Fine for you... personally I don't care if it gets wet. I wash it regularly. It always puts me in a good mood when i'm driving it.

Bingo!

I have a question, when you guys park somewhere like a mall or something where do you park? Do you park far away where theres no cars so nothing can happen or do you take a chance and park near everyone else? Also what do you do if you get a scratch, dent, or whatever? All I can say is I drive my moms Audi A6 and since a year ago when we got it ive got nothing but scratches and dents that **** me off.

I am going to come out of the closet and admit I have driven in the RAIN! I have even used liquid dishsoap (gasp!) to wash it. I don't own a fancy, fuzzy, special, $50.00 corvette towel to dry it off. I can recall wiping bugs off with windex and a paper towel. I don't name them or talk philosophy or world matters with them. When it comes down to it, they are just high priced Chevys. But, g-d d-m, they make me smile! :) :D :upthumbs

If you can afford a C6,why are you afraid to drive it:confused If you buy an SUV,.are you really worried about the price of gas? :crazy :L ;LOL

If I happen to take my Corvette to a public parking lot, I always find the farthest parking spot away from everyone else. I have no problem walking a distance to get to where I need to go.

In general, people tend not to respect other people's property. For example, my truck: while I'm not as anal about my truck as I am about my Corvette, I do make an effort to park it away from most cars, most of the time. I have more dings and scratches on the side of my truck than ever before. I have no clue how they got there, but regardless, I don't want my Corvette to follow suit.

No! NO! STOP! You're killing me!

I do all the things you don't. I talk to her, bathe her in only the finest of fine care products, use microfibre towels from Hawaii (PakShack rules!), use special bug remover degreaser, and I would never, NEVER call her a Chevy. The very word Chevy causes me (and my keyboard) great physical distress.

Take 2 doses of Zaino and call me in the morning.

CHEVY...CHEVY....CHEVY....CHEVY!!:w

I drive my C5 every day as I have the 76 and way back when the 60, its good to see so many "drivers" out there. The C5 is the most trouble free car I own and gets the best gas milage. Buy the C6 and drive it, the only advise I have for you is if you are a city dweller (with tank trap streets) get the selective ride control the Z51 will beat you up.;)

My poor 97 T/A WS6 is getting totally neglected now, as my new C6 has been driven every day since I picked it up May 27th. It now has 3,000 miles on it, and I will keep going at that rate lol.

Would you marry a sweet wench and not ride her as often as you can? Somehow, I don't think so...

Oh, and I drive it in the rain, too. It's got the most safety equipment, has the best handling, traction, and brakes, side airbags, and OnStar for bad stuff. Why in the world would it make sense to protect the car in the garage while risking your own neck in something less?

Just my 2 cents worth.

DRIVE ON!!!
