I am/was one of the moderators over there, and I haven't been told either way. They sometimes do let it lapse, but this is the longest time period that I have seen. it's possible that it is gone. :eyerole

Interesting... never heard of that forum. The registration of the domain expires in March of 2012 so that is not the problem. Perhaps hosting fees were too high? Anyway, the administrative contact for the domain can be reached at denise.garceau at gmail dot com.

I sure hope this site ( corvette mechanic) has not gone from the internet. I will tell you first hand it is a great site. Paul (c4c5 specialist)was a leader and great asset to all who knew him and used his site.

I don't understand why people think that site is so great.

The two forums with the most posts have little to do with Corvettes...the forum covering other cars and the forum covering off-topic.

Some of the forums which are heavily posted here on CAC have zero posts over there.

So...what's the big attraction?

There is no denying that this site is far more active than the other site. I very much enjoy this site and actively promote it when I can.

The difference for myself was the accurate and timely posts of a couple members from that site. This I think, is why so many people have an interest in knowing what happened to the site and those members.

because Paul is a very knowledgeable and easy to understand person!!!!as well as a world class GM mechanic.
who is not afraid to share his knowledge with the corvette community.

Not to mention many members at CAC have enjoyed and benefited from Paul's expertise at numerous CAC events. It's understandable that we would support his other interests.

Just last summer, at CruiseFest, he fixed (adjusted) a wind leak in my roadster top with a 2X4 and mallet...worked like a charm. :)

Well...I have tremendous respect for Paul "c4c5specialist".

Does he own that site or is he the Site Administrator there?

Thanks "Yoda". I am now better educated.

While I made a point about the sites limited number of posts, hopefully that will change. I wish "c4c5specialist" good luck with the project. Getting a forum site off the ground is no easy task.

Sorry but this isn't the same site we we're referring to .Nice try though .:thumb

I think that maybe it is, for some reason Paul felt the need to purge the old site and start a new one, with better software from what I can see. In one of the posts he refers to the "old" site. The name of the site simply has "the" added to the title. I registered and posted some pictures...

What the hell... :beer

Last summer at cruisefest, Paul made some comment about having some "things in the works". I'm betting this was one of them.
