CORVETTE: ONE OF CAR AND DRIVER'S 10 BEST . . .​

"GM DriveTime" this week provided highlights of a "Car and Driver Television" report on Corvette's inclusion in Car and Driver's 10 Best Cars list. Here's what Larry Webster, Car and Driver technical editor, had to say about Corvette:

"Corvette's back on our list, and this car is just a fantastic performance value. 400 horsepower for about $45,000, no-brainer. Made it easy. Now the Chevy C6 is proof that you can have all the fun you want without having to mortgage your house. Corvette also got votes because it's a practical performance car. It can get you to work in relative comfort and still get killer lap times on the weekend. And even though the C6 isn't really all-new, the improvements from the last generation are very welcome. You get more horsepower with the LS2, an interior with more refinement, and a body that has better proportions. All for a base price that is cheaper than last year. There's no doubt, this deserves a spot."

The C6 gives very close to C5 Z06 performance for a lot lower sticker price. I applaud GM, Dave Hill, et al for this one.

Doesn't that just burn to a few people, i.e., those that bought an '04 model??? ...or the dealers that still had some '04's left in stock???
