GM Press Release: Corvette Z06 Sprints to 60 mph in Less than 3 Seconds

Sure there is a lot of difference in traction capability of a drag radial vs. a street radial. But in this case the Z06 apparently held pretty good with stock tires based on that 0-60 mph time. Most likely some real surface preparation. And if so the Z06s et isn't going to improve like the Dodge did with drag radials. Other factors will improve it's et of course as in da, driver experience and more.

On drag radials which are not stock. Put drag radials on a Volkswagen bug, and it will produce better numbers than stock tires.
Read my above reply about drag radials on the Dodge vs. none on the Z06.

So is this thread turning in to a Hellcat -vs- Z06 comparison? Or a thread about Street Tires -vs- Drag Tires?
They are both valid comparisons to some extent, but probably better suited for their own thread...?

$79,000.00

I guess I will never know how fast the 2015 Z06 is for 79,000 reasons. You can quote these rhetorical numbers all you want, it all depends on what you can afford.

Mark.
