I am sure that somewhere in this forum both of these have been asked and answered so forgive me for asking again.

1. Is anyone famaliar with a product called (I think) "Finess it"? I understand it to be like Scratch X but more powerful. Yes - No? Where can I find it? I've tried AutoZone, Discoung Auto, and Wall-Mart. Any thoughts are appresicated.

2. What soap should you use to strip the wax so that you can start building a new base?

Thanks

Tom, I don't know the product you're asking about but, as far as removing your wax and starting fresh, look at the Zaino web page. In fact, I highly recommend all the Zaino products for your car. They start you out cleaning th car with 'Dawn dishwashing liquid' to remove any old wax. Then clay the car and start waxing. If you buy the kit from them, you'll get most everything you could need. In one afternoon, you will transform you ride and bring out the real beauty.:cool

That's the part I was looking for. :beer

I use Meguiar's Car Care RX that includes clay bar etc, and am very pleased with the results. The "Finess It" was suggested because of a huge scuff I picked up at a recent show. We were turning the C5 around and aparrently rubbed a brick curb.

What a sinking feeling that was! In the end, I was able to get it all out by using Scratch-X and elbow grease.

Thanks Mag for the info on Dawn. I appreciate your thoughts.

Tom
