I am curious about the Crossfire Fuel Injection system. I have heard it was the worst thing Chevy ever did to the Corvette. What was the problem with the system and is there a permanent solution to the problem?

I'm not sure I understand the question.
It's a little too late to solve a 22 year old design problem.
They were a temporary 2 year fix to allow more time for GM to develop a better power system for the C4 Vettes.
What's not to like?

200 HP, 285 Lb/Ft TQ.
Leaky intake manifolds, sticky IAC motors, scratchy TPS sensors, air injection pumps, and not many people know how to fix them.

Cross Fire Injection was originally developed for the 82 Camaro. However when GM couldn't get the Tuned Port System ready in time for the then "new" Vette they decided to run it on the Vette for 2 years while they refined the TPI. The big problem with Cross Fire is the poor intake design. People malign it but it can be modified to work well. My 84 is a Cross Fire car it runs like a scalded dog. If you have someone who knows how to set them up right they do run excellent and have had a few customers that have had/have 84's that do not have any trouble with them. Look at these 2 sites to get some good info on Cross Fire Injection.
