I Have the numbers from my 65 Vette's motor which is up for sale now. I am going to post the numbers in a few min.. Went to check them and I am getting conflickting info ...How about a read here.. John Z or Some one with a book??

Ok..This site says the block casting is Corvette only for this year if it is from Towanda...My Block Casting is..#3858180....1964 to 1967. Read the foot notes about this block.. http://rowleycorvette.com/vettestats.html

"Tonawanda cast small block V8 engines normally use the last two digits (example: "62" for 1962), and these castings were not used in Corvette production except for the 1965 327 cubic-inch with 3858180 casting number. "

My Cyl Head Pad # is TII02HC.... Now the HC Should mean ...327cid 4bl Carb 67-68 Passenger Car .... WTF????

The Casting Number on the Driver Side Cyl Head Is #"8782461" and undernieth it says "J2964" Don't know what this year or application Is......
Do You???

Also I found this other Number..3846563...?????

Thanks...

A very few Tonawanda-cast 3858180 blocks were used in Corvettes for a short period in 1965, but all were machined and assembled at Flint Engine, and had the "F" prefix on the pad stamp; yours has a "T" prefix, so it was cast, machined and assembled at Tonawanda (assembled on November 2, 1964), and was originally installed as a 327/250hp Powerglide in a 1965 full-size passenger car; that was the only usage of the "HC" suffix in 1965. The 3782461 heads were used on many Chevrolet applications from '61-'66; yours was cast at Tonawanda on October 29, 1964.

3846563 is a '64-'65 driver's side 2-1/2" outlet exhaust manifold, used on nearly all optional engines.
