I have a '88 Vette and never really drive it in the dark. I did drive it this morning and dash lights were fine in the dark. When I came out of the Gym the sun was out and I could barely see the dash. It has always been bright enough before. Is there something I can do to turn the illumination back up?
I am baffled...Oh yeah and the radio worked today...Go figure
Thanking you all in advance...
JOHN

The panel lights are adjusted by turning the headlight knob - when the headlights are on. I've found there's a sensor window to the left of the gauges that regulates the brihtness in daylight. Shine a bright light directly into the sensor and see if the panel lights get brighter. It may be a bad or dirty sensor.

Thanks Tony...I will try that. I know the dimmer adjustment works when the headlights are on, that's the first thing I checked. They seemed to work o.k. the other day in the daylight, but it was slightly overcast (what's new in Indiana).
It's supposed to be cold and rainy the next couple of days, so I will just wax the Vette and drink beer in the garage and hope the sun is out Saturday! :beer
Thanks,
JOHN
