Dash Panel Removal?

I'm trying to figure out how to remove a portion of the lower carpeted dash panel on my '85. NOT the larger sections with the courtesy lamps above the legs, but the smaller sections that trim the lower edge of the dash that have the carpet and the plastic trim pieces that run along the bottom of the dash. I'm going to replace the ignition switch (that requires the left hand side removal so I can lower the steering colum) and the key lock and for the life of me I can't see any screws! Thanx for any assistance.

removing that carpeted trim won't help, on my 86 anyway... just two 15mm nuts on the underside of the column bracket that should be hiding in plain sight with the ''hush panel'' already off...steering column will only drop abt 1/2'' though, gonna need to work under the dash (pita) or pull the column out of the car (maybe a lesser pita)

Thank You....I'll try the 1/2" route first. I may have to do the switch and the lock. The key lock has been rough for years and now, it won't turn back from the ""run" position and the key won't come out. Had to disconnect the battery in case trying to remove it caused it to stick in the start position!?!?! Thanx again!
