My 2008 C6 Z51 Corvette won't quit running when the STOP BUTTON IS PRESSED. The gauges all go off but the engine continues to run for a short time, about 15 seconds. The battery also gets drained in a couple of hours if left connected. My OBDII scanner reports NO TROUBLE CODES FOUND. The red light next to the Accessories light, on the START/STOP SWITCH stays on too. What could be causing this?
I've already replaced the START/STOP SWITCH WHICH DIDN'T HELP.
I've disconnected the Alternator B+ terminal from the battery, as well as the wiring harness from the alternator.
Nothing appears wrong with the alternator. Nothing changed with the alternator disconnected. It is charging normally.
