How do you remove the cigarette lighter mechanism from the dash of a '62?

I stuck my phone under the dash and snapped a picture. Got it the first time without laying on my back.

Notice that the metal outer cover is actually the retainer. There are threads on the necked down portion just below the plug. Unplug the wire, and unscrew the retainer from the lighter. You should be able to do this with your bare hands. You might need to stick your thumb inside the lighter and squeeze it against the side of the hole to keep the lighter from turning as you unscrew the retainer.
