Help I had my 63 vert out for the first time this year, everything was fine and then I started from stop sign and got on it a little and got about two back fires and then nothing, I mean nothing no spark would'nt fire at all. I got it home but never had this problem before. Any Ideas out there?

Check your rotor inside the Dist Cap. I had this happen on my 62 and it was a bad motor mount cause the engine to shift when I got on it and the Dist cap hit the firewall and took out the rotor. Just a thought??

Check the points...

Make SURE you have good spark!

Point and condensor. When the condensor shorts out (which it will do when it fails) it grounds the points and then you get no spark.

Thanks for your thoughts. I had a problem with the front two cyclinders for some time I was going to do a bottom rebuild next year but after this deal I went ahead and checked the compression and the rings went on those two jugs. I had 38lbs on them and I have the engine out to do the rebuild now. Thanks again.
