Dealer makes corny pitch for Corvette allocation

Chevrolet dealer Eric McCracken recently plunked down $1,500 to have a local corn-maze operator carve an image of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray into a 39-acre field.
Now McCracken just needs General Motors to ship him one.
McCracken, owner of Lee Kinstle Chevrolet in tiny Van Wert, Ohio, about 100 miles southwest of Toledo, didn't qualify to carry seventh-generation Vette, which rolls into dealerships in October. GM has limited allocation to about 900 of its highest-volume Corvette dealerships.
So McCracken decided to get creative.
