Chevrolet dealer Eric McCracken recently plunked down $1,500 to have a local corn-maze operator carve an image of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray into a 39-acre field.

Now McCracken just needs General Motors to ship him one.

McCracken, owner of Lee Kinstle Chevrolet in tiny Van Wert, Ohio, about 100 miles southwest of Toledo, didn't qualify to carry seventh-generation Vette, which rolls into dealerships in October. GM has limited allocation to about 900 of its highest-volume Corvette dealerships.

So McCracken decided to get creative.

GM should let him have at least one Corvette for his effort.

It should be green - Lime Rock Green. :upthumbs

Hope it never happens, he hit me nearly 20 grand higher than what I paid for my first C5. I don't think they could get one then and bought it from another dealer. I have purchased cars from the same dealer (close by them) since 1956 but not all of them, when they were out of line I went elsewhere. There are dealers that still give you equal value for equal dollars, if not I'll still have my dollars.
