Death of an original engine....but I am happy

congratulations for coming forward - only you can live with your self and presenting you block as a NOM, and not the "original" block! from a judging view, if the stamp pad passes muster (i.e., broach marks, etc.), then you should not lose points - stamp pad matches VIN, has correct "prefix/suffix", date code is good, etc., etc. - can't wait to be able to really look at your block!

I did not think this would erupt and be such a hot item. Barry K you are exactly on the mark...big difference with restoration vs. counterfiet... Personally if I wanted to deceive I would have said nothing on the Board, the NCRS Tech Board, or the other board.... I tried to take a different and honest approach to this whole number fiasco....just state what you got... who really cares, if you are truely RESTORING the car....it's the counterfiet folks that deceive....making this a hot issue.
