Hi all, a buddy of mine gave me his predator tuner that he originally had for his 02 Silverado. He put it back to stock and he has no more use for it. Now here is my question. I purchased my car used and it had the diablosport predator book in the trunk. I am unsure if wether or not it may have the tune in it or not. Will it harm my car if i try to reprogram it with his tuner? Also, any suggestions on settings and so forth for my car? I have full length headers, breathless performance intake, Magnaflow exhaust, cat delete.

It will not work on your car. Or I should say it should not work on your car. The VIN from his truck is stored and will not work on your car.

These units have specific performance profiles. Don't flash a Corvette with
one designed for a truck or even another car. Though the profile for a Corvette
may be close to that of a GTO (LS2) they may also differ. You can read
accurate PCM data stream with those parameters that are available.

The only thing the Predator will allow you to do with your Vette is read DIC codes and delete them. You will not be able to tune your car with it though. The Predator is VIN specific. When he used it on his truck for the very first time, his Vehicle Information Number was programmed into the Predator memory. It now will only work with that same VIN. I had a 99 C5 with a Predator. When I purchased the ZO6, I could not reuse the Predator. I sent it back to Diablosport, and I got a new one a reduced cost.
