Did it Again ! 3 Qt's of Oil on the Ground

The moral to this story is use a quality oil and don't add anything to it.
When you decide to play home chemist and think that you know more about oil than those guy in white coats in the lab this is the results.
The additives in oil are carefully balanced before you pour in a additive that you have no idea what is in it and for all you know it may cancel out the effectiveness of the add pack already in the oil.
If whatever was in that additive was needed in the oil it would have been in their already.
When I read the claims on that stuff it reminds me of an old salesman saying.
( Sell the sizzle not the steak )

Dont discount what the junk man say's - keep checking very carefully for anything leaking into the oil, because it will cause sludge, when you pull the dip carefully inspect it for bubbles.

Use a good quality oil and a better quality oil filter. There is no subsitute for a good quality filter. I use nothing but A-C Delco on G.M. vehicles.I had a 4.3 v-6 that has 400,000 plus and still running, a 6.5 litre diesel with over 700,000 on it, 2.2 litre 4 cyl over 300,000.All have had A-C filters and good name brand oil.
