I did some work on Vette today.
Removed wheel housing covers, washed, sanded, and repainted them.
upper look awesome.
lower need some finishing.
-------------------------------------------
also got my carbon fiber dash trim pcs in mail today.
HOLY SHet, they look great.
Damn, I need to do interior work.
As soon as my lil bro gets home. I will load pics.
-----------------------------------------------
I am excited b/c in April
refurbishing gas tank
new fuel lines
30/26mm sway bars (Z51)
Nitrous Oxide w/ plumbing
full length headers
;LOL;LOL;LOL

Nice man! I'd love to see the pics of the carbon fiber trim. I've been thinking about either carbon fiber or wood. My trim now has one screw holding it down and crack in the other screw holes. Good luck man!

I removed the upper wheel housing, cleaned it down, sanded it down, and repainted it w/ vinyl spray (flat black).

My car is pearl white, so there is no way to paint sections.
So to hide some scratches on bumper, I applied some vinyl.

I applied CF patterns on rear and my own measured home made Hash Marks

okay, did some more work today.
As you know the 1984 Corvette hood is not same as the 85 and later hoods, simply due to the inner design layout, and the hood support arm.
Having a MAF style TPI, I cannot use the OEM air cleaner assembly. I dont want to change the hood, which involves major changes and painting. The air cleaner attached to the MAF, would not allow hood to close.

=So I examined it. The limited space in Corvettes, only offered 1 solution.
connect a longer 28" flexible air duct made by Spectre w/ a 3" flange-and attached the 6" Summit filter to that.
The air filter was the smallest in size 6" which matched the 3" flange to the MAF.

the wheel housing has been removed.
had to clean up the shocks and the recently sandblasted upper/lower c-arms.
scrub the brake dust off rotors. Getting prepared for
pressure washing front chassis and housing, apply POR 15 on chassis,
and cleaning vacuums and electrical wire tubing. add new horns.

The car is stripped so it would be easier to do Nitrous plumbing.
